Scan to Steel
This workflow allows extraction of structural steel elements from a point cloud.
Requirements
Select a point cloud and launch the workflow.
The workflow is divided in 3 steps:
Level Definition: to manually define the different levels where steel elements will be extracted from.
Steel Extraction: to manually extract and edit steel elements from the point cloud.
Export: to export extracted steel elements.
Steel standards
Common Steel standards are shipped with Cyclone 3DR.
The default steel standards are:

Technical Information
Point cloud source
Scan to Steel is compatible with any point source, including native 3DR point clouds, LGSx files, and Hexagon GeoCloud assets.
In other words, no data conversion is required to run the workflow when working with streamed point clouds.
The user experience may vary slightly depending on the point source, while preserving the same overall workflow and capabilities.
